The rock

The book of Matthew tells us in chapter 7:

24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

I want to encourage you with these proposed questions today:

What is your foundation laid on? Sand or rock?

What steps can you take to upgrade your foundation to “The Rock“? This is a hard world we live in and the only way to make it through is with our foundation being Jesus. It doesn’t matter if it’s been twenty years since you’ve stepped into a church or if your relationship is inconsistent with Him or if you’re brand new altogether. All He wants is relationship with you.

Where are you at today?

Where do you want to be tomorrow?

If you have never accepted Him into your heart as the one who saves you from life’s storms let me lead you with this prayer,

“God I thank you for all that you’ve done for me and sending your son to die on the cross for me. Please take these pieces of my heart and make them what you want. Forgive my sins as you have for many others. Be my foundation and live in me from here on out. In Jesus name I pray, amen!“
